The Band is awesome!!! Consisting of DFD members and civilians, the band is alive and well with several gigs throughout the year. Directed by Captain Richard Hartsfield and managed by retired Chief Robert Alef, the Band meets every other Monday for practices upstairs at Casey’s Pub on Michigan Avenue. The time for these practices is from 1900-2100 sharp! We are playing some newer pieces of music with more new music coming in the near future. We would like to have musicians be at practice to learn this new music for our upcoming gigs. We welcome all horn-blowers and drummers to join in this fun venue of community spirit that balances the stress of your service jobs. This invitation can be extended to your musical acquaintances.
