January stays heated up when Fire VS Police in the outdoor Winter Classic. Big fun but most importantly it raises funds to help maintain Detroit's Clark Park Youth Hockey League.

 

The DFD Hockey Team was organized in 1960. The team started out in the Detroit Industrial League. Throughout the decades the team changed leagues. They currently compete in the South Eastern Michigan Police League. In addition to league play the team has been active in nurmerous charity tourneys in the U.S. and Canada, helping to raise funds for a variety of causes.
