Image

For over a century and a half, the Detroit Firemen’s Fund Association has stood as a beacon of hope and unwavering support for the courageous men and women of the Detroit Fire Department and their families. Whether responding to the urgent needs of injured firefighters, providing solace to the families of fallen heroes, or preserving the proud legacy of Detroit’s firefighting community, we are committed to ensuring that those who protect our city are never left behind.

Our Fund's Mission

Stand Strong for Those Who Serve

Since our founding in 1866, the Detroit Firemen’s Fund Association for the Relief of Disabled Firemen has been dedicated to making a difference. Through the generosity of our members, donors, and supporters, we are able to:

  • Provide Critical Assistance to injured firefighters facing hardships.

  • Honor Our Fallen Heroes by coordinating firefighter funeral services with the utmost dignity and respect.

  • Preserve Tradition by maintaining the breathtakingly restored 1937 Seagrave Memorial Rig, used in firefighter funerals and public ceremonies.

  • Support Community Initiatives such as the Detroit Fire Department Clown Team, Honor Guard, and Hockey Team, which foster camaraderie and bring joy to our community.
