The Detroit Firemen's Fund proudly sponsors the DFD Honor Guard, a dedicated team of Detroit Firefighters who provide funeral honors for their fallen brothers and sisters. Their solemn presence and precise ceremony offer a powerful tribute that reflects the respect and gratitude owed to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Our commitment to honoring the fallen extends beyond ceremony. We have fully restored a historic 1937 Seagrave Safety Sedan—an iconic vehicle assembled from parts of old Engine 12 and Engine 21. This classic apparatus now serves as a ceremonial funeral caisson, used to honor Michigan and Windsor Firefighters who have died in the line of duty.
Each Memorial Day, the Seagrave proudly leads our annual procession to the remembrance service. We invite you to join us in paying tribute. The procession assembles at Engine 9, located at 3787 E. Lafayette St., at 0800 every year.
